We are very excited about our latest product – a surface mounted circular LED luminaire. This is designed to replace the ubiquitous 2D or “Double D” fluorescent tube luminaire, which is found in larger properties such as hospitals, schools, shopping malls and thousands of other public buildings.
Surface mount luminaires are useful for ceiling and wall applications where it is not possible or practical to fit a recessed lamp unit. In these cases, a low profile luminaire is required, which does not intrude into the living space. The surface mount luminaire needs to be durable, resistant to water and pest ingress and be maintenance free. Typically, the light must be diffuse rather than directional.
Our new LED surface mount luminaire ticks all of the boxes. It is an elegant yet robust design, cost-effective to buy and run and will last for years – maintenance-free. A total system power consumption of 24 Watts delivers 1600 lumens of diffused light, giving an overall efficiency of 66.6 lumens/Watt.
