Using LED technology in high bay applications presents a number of technical challenges. Creating powerful, high intensity light sources capable of providing sufficient light at ground level from heights over 10 metres is the objective. Powerful LEDs need proper cooling, particularly as they are likely to be in use for long periods of time. Optical systems also need to be very efficient to ensure that all of the available light is utilized.
We are now distributing the Epoch VIII from Neobulb, which is a seriously impressive LED high bay luminaire. By using eight of the patented NUP modules, which feature advanced heat pipe cooling, Neobulb have been able to pack 112W of high efficiency LED lighting into a compact unit. The result is a hugely powerful lamp that can be run 24 hours a day and still maintain a thermal junction temperature of less than 60 degrees C. This combination of power and low temperature makes the Epoch VIII an unbeatable solution for low maintenance high bay lighting.
